We at Kanepackage are a group that makes packaging a science.
We work together with our group companies to maintain and protect quality and the environment.
At Kanepackage, we develop cushioning materials that protect products by absorbing shocks and vibrations in the environment in which they are distributed. With the development of industrial innovation in recent years, the importance of cushioning design, which is the core of packaging materials, has increased, and design specifications have become even stricter.
In order to respond quickly to the accelerating progress, we have developed our own network through collaboration with affiliated companies. In addition to cushioning material development, we respond with a total logistics system that covers everything from packaging to delivery.

My name is Marc Matsuda, representative of Kanepackage Indonesia.
After participating in the launch of Kanepackage’s Mexico base in 2016, I transferred to the Indonesia base in 2021.
After serving as sales manager for three years, I was appointed base manager in February 2024.
I have been in the automotive industry for 30 years, working in sales overseas.
In Indonesia, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers used to be only Japanese, but now local suppliers are also entering the market.
Local suppliers are also improving their technology and quality, and the significance of our existence as Japanese suppliers is fading.
We must change now to continue to be a necessary presence in Indonesia.
As the head of the Indonesia base, what I need to do is “reform and challenge”.
There are five major challenges I am currently working on.
① 100% in-house production rate of paper packaging
Currently, we will increase the rate from around 60% to 100%.
② Capital investment
We will actively invest in equipment to achieve 100% in-house production and to accommodate the design of larger items.
③ Promotion of digital transformation
In this rapidly changing era, digital transformation is inevitable to maintain a competitive advantage in the Indonesian market.
Our company has finally taken a step in that direction.
④ Organizational reform
We will change our previous top-down organization to a bottom-up one.
Specifically, we plan to create new positions such as GM, and develop leaders for each department.
⑤ Collaboration at multiple locations
Our company has multiple locations, including our headquarters in Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
Since last year, we have strengthened collaboration between our overseas locations. We have already begun to see results, such as working with global companies to make transport packaging carbon-neutral.
Many of our customers are in the automotive industry. As you know, the automotive industry is currently facing major changes.
As suppliers, we also need to change at a rapid pace so as not to be left behind by the changes in the market.
To achieve this, bold reforms and venturing into new fields are necessary.
I believe that these five challenges are inevitable to adapt to the changing times.
I would be happy if you could at least tell me that “Matsuda is doing something interesting” or “I think this could be useful for your company.“
I am confident in my agility.
Let’s take on new challenges together!
I look forward to your continued guidance and patronage.
